New voice programs for your Yamaha SY77 synthesizer. Many new sounds with this synth will be possible when using a Waveblade card. These voice banks (SysEx) should also work in a TG77 (not tested). SY99 loading should also be possible (not tested), but you must apply the effects yourself.

PKN-SY-77-09 – Factory (SY55) Downgrade
Yes there is a way to get a SY-55 sound to the SY-77, by using the waveroms of the SY-55 that are different than those on the SY-77. Some differences in the waves are hard to hear (just slightly shorter loops) but there are waves that sound really different, like the piano and the muted trumpet for example. This file contains the Factory banks SysEx (2 SysEx files) with altered wave paths (to access card waves. Please note that a Sector 101 Waveblade card needed for this soundbank!). A total of about 64 voices were changed for this.

SY99 Conversion Service
New service for owners of a SY77 or TG77. Bought a SY99 disk that can’t be used on your SY? Have a SY99 but want to take the SY77/TG77 on the road? Sent in the file and we’ll converse it for you (*fee applies). Many ’99’ banks use custom waves and samples, in order to make such bank possible on the SY77/TG77 you’ll need a Sector101 Waveblade card.
The SY77/TG77 internal bank has less waves than the SY99: not all voices can be done as the original, but a musically playable voice will be made. For most drum kits, it is not possible to remake these and add something interesting compared to the existing SY77 drum kit sounds. These voices will be replaced with a new voice.
For each voice, effects will be programmed to our taste. These can differ from those used on the SY99 as we don’t have a SY99 to compare the voices with. As the effect processor on the SY99 is different compared to the effect processor on the SY/TG77, it is likely the sound is somehow different anyway.
Service is limited to Yamaha banks atm. Service is limited to available time (reprogramming voices, and creating Waveblade file is time consuming). Please use the contact form for more information and how we can help you. Some SY99 files might have problems and can’t be converted.
